Mountainwalking

Costs

Organised Daywalks (see calendar page).
The basic cost is £20 per person per day for joining a group on the organised walks.  Advance booking is essential by phone or email. 

Private Hire
A minimum charge of £80 per day applies to groups of 4 persons or less and £15 per person thereafter.

Please do not hesitate to ask for a quote for your family or group for Single Day Walks or longer programmes. 

Conditions

Where groups exceed 10 persons an assistant leader may be appointed to ensure the well being of the group.

A  walking 'day' is usually 5-6 hours.  However, where a group choose a shorter walk, or where the leader shortens a walk due to unforeseen circumstances, the day may be shorter.

The safety of the group is the over-riding consideration, the prevailing weather conditions and any other factors influencing the safety of the party may result in a walking 'day' being shortened. 

Please also ask for quotes for Residential groups and courses.

You are advised to always ensure that you have adequate personal accident insurance cover before participating in any adventurous activity.

Notes:

You must ensure that you appropriately equipped for the day, with suitable boots for mountain terrain, and carrying spare warm clothes, and waterproofs.  You will need to bring your own packed lunch and adequate fluids for the day, and never less than a litre.

Participants on backpacking trips must supply their own tent, sleeping bag and all camping equipment.

You will be advised of the meeting point and meeting time when you confirm your booking.  Please be aware that many car parks get full very early, and you might need to get there earlier than the meeting time.
